Wood, Wrigley fans get it right

I know that many Brewers fans have "I hate the Cubs" and "I hate Wrigley Field" and "I hate Cubs fans" as a default setting.

What happened Friday afternoon at the Friendly Confines has to soften the hardest of hearts.

Kerry Wood exited the stage on his own terms -- with one final strikeout, one final ovation, a hug from his son and a stroll into retirement.

The Cubs lost to the White Sox, 3-2, but that's not what folks will remember.

It isn't often that athletes get to leave a sport on their own terms. Kudos to Kerry Wood on a great career, a graceful exit and a thrilling sports moment.
