540 ESPN and Car-X want to give students a change to showcase their broadcast skills.

One lucky student will be selected at each Game of the Week.

Broadcaster of the Game

January 15: Ari Kasle

Ari Kasle is a Senior at Nicolet High School. He is the broadcasting program at Nicolet and also does the morning announcements. He is looking to go to college next year at either Butler or Tampa.

Broadcaster of the Game

January 8: Ryan Barwick

He's the starting quarterback for West Allis Central. He is a senior. He is looking at some Division 3 colleges right now, including UW-Lacrosse and Dubuque, Iowa.

Broadcaster of the Game

December 11: Ryan Young

Ryan Young was the Classic 8 player of the year as Waukesha West won the Classic 8 Conference Title in 2009.

Broadcaster of the Game

October 16: Isabelle Lambert

Isabelle is the first Junior in the running for the Car-X scholarship competition for the student athlete of the week. She attends Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha and is an avid sports fan. She rarely misses a football game for her home team, the Catholic Memorial Crusaders. She also enjoys to golf. She is undecided on where she’s going to be applying for college or what exactly she will study but she knows she’s interested in both animals and science so something in the Veterinary field might strike her interest.

Broadcaster of the Game

October 9: Matt Ranta

Matt is a very well spoken, senior at Whitnall High School. He is an avid hockey player and enjoys to play golf in his free time. He is looking to attend either Denver or Boston College, somewhere out of the midwest. He is currently undecided as to what major he will choose, but does show interest in sports and broadcasting. Matt really enjoys being a senior and likes the subjects of physics, chemistry, and history.

Broadcaster of the Game

October 2: Jesse Marczewski

"Jesse is a great kid who is both an accomplished writer, having won several writing contests, and an excellent speaker.  He was the master of ceremonies for talent shows, cabaret nights, and his middle school graduation. He is currently looking at Bradley University and two other schools in hopes of pursuing a career in broadcasting-journalism. Jesse is the drum major for our band, captain of the bowling team, and serves in the pit orchestra for our musicals.  In the classroom, he was a  good student who worked well with others." - MHS Teacher, Laurie Kaczmarek
